I am from the south and live in warm weather.
I decided to stay in the south after college.
I went to college up north and a lot of my friends are from there. I remember experiencing the cold and long winters and seeing snow for the very first time. Now that I graduated college and have been out for a while, it feels good to experience longer summers and no snow. It’s great I get to still see a lot of my college friends because they want to come down for a few weeks during the winter and take a break from the cold. When they visit me they like to go to the beach, and sit by my pool. We always have fun because we will have barbeques and stay up late outside on my deck talking about memories from college. Even though I regretted going to college in the north because I had to experience colder weather, I however met some pretty amazing lifelong friends. When these friends come and visit me I like to make sure that their stay is very comfortable. Therefore I keep my air conditioning on a bit lower than I normally do so my guests won’t sweat and stay cool. I even put at least two portable fans in each room so they can turn them on if they feel a little warm during the night. The south in the summer gets very hot and I will sometimes sweat during the night. I am very thankful to have friends who still keep in touch after all of these years.
