We have really been celebrating the Christmas holiday recently.
Last weekend we made gingerbread houses.
We like to make gingerbread houses early so that we can keep them up longer. However while we were making our gingerbread houses the heat started going up. I could feel it it was getting warmer inside. I could also notice that it was getting warmer by the icing. The icing seemed to have been getting thinner. The warmth in the air was making the icing start to get thinner. It was almost melting it. Our gingerbread house even started falling apart. I had to go turn the thermostat down. However when I turned it down nothing happened. I called the HVAC company right away. I even turned off the HVAC system. I would have to set up an appointment for them to come to my house to check the thermostat. So we had to put the gingerbread houses on hold for a little bit until the house cooled down. There was no way we were going to get a gingerbread house to stand with how warm our house was getting. I even felt like I was sweating. I had to take my sweatshirt off because I was so warm. It seemed as if our thermostat was not communicating with our HVAC system. Maybe the thermostat had died on us. Maybe the thermostat was no longer working and needed to be replaced. I was not sure but I was sure that we had to stop making our gingerbread houses. Maybe we’ll have to try again another weekend.
