The best season of all

The best season of all

This week is just another day.

  • another hot, humid, irritated Summer day.

I don’t know about you, but I’m sick of it; So it’s just about all the people I know. It’s been a month on end of this pounding, endless Heat, & all the people is at their wit’s end, yep, it’s the end of Summer in the South. What starts as a fun season filled with social activities in adventures eventually turns into a irritated sizzling puddle of exhaustion & apathy, by the end of September, you don’t want to go outside anymore. You don’t want to see the sun anymore. You don’t even want to turn on the air-conditioning system anymore. All that you want is for the weather to finally break. You pray for the day that the sun does not shine so brightly & maybe a few clouds litter the sky. You wait for the morning that they are absolutely feels frigid on your skin when you step outside to go to work. You pray for the day that you can turn off your a/c & store it away for the short winter time time. You wish every day that you could throw on a sweatshirt & be comfortable, instead of dripping with sweat through light tank tops & shorts. You start to become nostalgic & idealize the feeling of naturally cold-air instead of fake, treated indoor air that costs a pretty penny to manufacture. In short, when 4 months of sweltering heat & a/c usage have gone by, the fall grass starts to look a lot yellower.
