Living in my parent’s attic

Living in my parent’s attic

I graduated college about two years ago.

I had trouble trying to find a job immediately once I graduated.

I went on a job hunt all around where I lived and I couldn’t find anything. It was difficult and upsetting to know that I paid thousands of dollars for a piece of paper and I couldn’t find a job. After almost two years I found one. I am so happy in the job that I am in now that I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else. I suppose the saying is right, “good things come to those who wait.” Well while I was waiting for my dream job I had to go through a few things that I didn’t enjoy. I ended up moving upstairs in my parent’s attic. My two younger brothers were getting older and didn’t want to share a room anymore so my one younger brother took my room. Therefore I was forced to live upstairs in our attic. My parent’s fixed up the attic a little bit for me. They filled the insulated walls with drywall so it could be liveable and somewhat warmer. During the summer it was the absolute worst. Since heat rises it would get incredibly warm and sticky. There were only two windows up there but that didn’t help. My parents went upstairs and realized what I was going through. They called their HVAC technician for me to see if they could add some vents so my living space would be much cooler during the summer.
