The cold weather makes me cringe.
- Of course the one day where I decide to go visit family up north my flight gets cancelled.
Due to the blizzard conditions across the northeast, thousands of flights have been cancelled due to the weather. Thankfully the airline that I was travelling with ended up paying for the hotel. I was hoping that the next morning I’d be able to get a flight out early. Unfortunately I was not that lucky. Flights continued to be cancelled into the next day! I was so upset that I had to stay in a hotel for two nights. I was missing quality time with my family. It was my mom’s 70th birthday and all of the siblings were throwing her a surprise birthday party. The hotel that I was staying at was a four star hotel. The lobby was very modern with a modern designed waterfall right when you walked in. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The first night when I went to bed I couldn’t sleep because I could hear the heater turn on and off. It was very squeaky and it sounded like there was something wrong with the belt or parts inside of the HVAC system. I called the front desk because I couldn’t bear hearing the thermostat and HVAC system turn on and off for a second night in a row. However it was cool having a big window in my room to see the blizzard happen right before my eyes.
