Getting stuck in a blizzard

Getting stuck in a blizzard

The frigid weather makes me cringe.

Of course the one afternoon where I decide to go visit family up north my flight gets cancelled.

Due to the blizzard conditions across the northeast, thousands of flights have been cancelled due to the weather. Thankfully the airline that I was travelling with ended up paying for the hotel. I was hoping that the next afternoon I’d be able to get a flight out early. Unblessedly I was not that lucky, but flights continued to be cancelled into the next afternoon! I was so distraught that I had to stay in a hotel for two evenings. I was missing quality time with my family. It was my mom’s 75th birthday and all of the siblings were throwing her a surprise birthday gathering. The hotel that I was staying at was a four star hotel. The lobby was honestly current with a current designed waterfall right when you walked in. The rooms were spacious and honestly clean. The first evening when I went to bed I couldn’t sleep because I could hear the heater turn on and off. It was honestly squeaky and it sounded like there was something wrong with the belt or parts inside of the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system. I called the front desk because I couldn’t bear hearing the temperature control and Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system turn on and off for a second evening in a row. However it was cool having a pressing window in my room to see the blizzard happen right before my eyep.
