In the winter, as flu season ravages our part of the country, people need a lot of help with their indoor air temperature control
I have a particularly difficult line of work. About 10 years ago I received my official certification to be a registered heating, cooling, and ventilation specialist. At the time, I simply wanted to find a career that would always be lucrative. I knew that people would constantly need to use central heating and cooling systems, so it seemed like an intelligent move to become an official service technician for these crucial home appliances. The truth is, my job is constantly in demand. A single day doesn’t go by without numerous routine repair service calls and emergency appointments. The difficult part is, there are certain times of the year when we’re extremely busy and other Seasons when my job isn’t as necessary. Living in the South, we have a lot of calls as summer is approaching. People need to get their air conditioning systems up and running before utilizing and their cooling plans every single day. However, there is another time of year when we are running around like chickens with our heads cut off at the heating, cooling, and ventilation dealership. In the winter, as flu season ravages our part of the country, people need a lot of help with their indoor air temperature control. The outdoor air temperature isn’t that low, but people seem to abuse their heating and cooling systems trying to keep up with the uneven hot and cold temperatures of their sickly bodies. These days, as the flu has taken hold of our entire city, I can barely get a wink of sleep. Not only am I fighting off the flu myself, but I constantly have to make emergency HVAC repair appointments for all of the other sick folks in our region and their ailing heating systems.
