Working overtime to save for the holidays

These days, I feel like I don’t have a moment to myself.

Every day, I wake up and get right down to work.

I start turning out new data entry projects and in-depth analysis for my remote job. I work for several hours, and try to get ahead for the week if I can. After that, I shower, get dressed, and go to my real job. For the next 8 hours I work in an office answering emails and punching numbers. When my official work day is done, I go right back to working at my third job. Yes, it is the life of a worker bee and I am completely exhausted. I need a break, and hopefully I’m going to get one pretty soon. I just need to get through these next couple of months first. You see, with the holidays coming up, I am desperately trying to make some extra cash. Sure, the holidays are expensive because of all the travel and gifts, but they’re even crazier when it comes to energy bills. Not only is the outdoor air temperature low and uncomfortable, but you are often trying to please many people with one single air quality system. If you are going to have people at your house, you are also going to be heavily operating your central heating and cooling plan for their ideal comfort. In my house, this means abusing the hell out of my forced air furnace. My relatives are always extremely cold and happy to complain about the air quality. As such, I end up running my central heating system 24/7 throughout the holiday season. The poor heating system gets put through its paces and so does my wallet when the energy bills arrive. I want everyone to have a great holiday, with fantastic indoor air quality, but I wish I could afford it without working my knuckles to the bone.
