The best season of all

The best season of all

You wish every afternoon that you could throw on a sweatshirt and be comfortable, instead of covered in sweat through light tank tops and shorts

Today is just another afternoon. another hot, humid, angry summer time afternoon. I do not know about you, but I’m sick of it. So it’s just about everyone I know. It’s been a month on end of this pounding, endless Heat, and everyone is at their wit’s end… Yep, it’s the end of summer time in the South. What starts as a fun season filled with social activities in adventures eventually turns into a angry sweaty puddle of exhaustion and apathy, by the end of August, you do not want to go outside anymore. You do not want to see the sun anymore. You do not even want to turn on the air-conditioning system anymore. All that you want is for the weather to finally break. You pray for the afternoon that the sun does not shine so brightly and maybe a few clouds litter the sky. You wait for the day that they are actually feels cold on your skin when you step outside to go to work. You pray for the afternoon that you can turn off your a/c and store it away for the short winter season time. You wish every afternoon that you could throw on a sweatshirt and be comfortable, instead of covered in sweat through light tank tops and shorts. You start to become nostalgic and idealize the feeling of naturally cold-air instead of fake, treated indoor air that costs a pretty penny to manufacture. In short, when 4 months of sweltering heat and a/c usage have gone by, the fall shrubbery starts to look a lot yellower.
