When I found out that I was going to be a parent I admit that I was terrified.
I never expected to have kids in my lifetime and this was a bit of a shocking piece of information to receive.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have any problem with children… But I never anticipated I would have to take care of them. It is as challenging to be a parent as everybody tries to warn you. It seems like there’s always something going wrong with one of the kids and we’re constantly putting out fires all around the house. Sometimes, these are even literal fires. My kids have reached the age where they are rather mischievous and independent enough to create total chaos. If they aren’t trying to burn down the house it seems like they’re trying to bankrupt us thanks to heating, cooling, and air quality control complications. Not only are the children way too comfortable using our thermostat, changing the indoor air temperature control settings or altering the air quality programming… but lately they’ve been letting all of our high-quality indoor air float away, as well. I only recently realized that my children have a problem with sleeping with their window open. Meanwhile, I’m pumping Ice Cold air Conditioning throughout the entire house. Everyday when the indoor air temperature is mysteriously warm and the quality is strangely muggy I know where I should start investigating. My kids probably left their bedroom windows open so all of my expensive indoor air can float away into the atmosphere. Don’t worry, they’ll gladly go change the thermostat settings to compensate for the air quality disaster that they’ve created.
