When I found out that I was going to be a parent I confess that I was terrified. I never expected to have kids in my lifetime and this was a bit of a shocking piece of information to receive. Don’t get me wrong, I do not have any problem with children… But I never anticipated I would have to take care of them. It is as challenging to be a parent as everybody tries to warn you. It seems like there’s always something going wrong with one of the kids and we are always putting out fires all around the house. Periodically, these are even literal fires. My kids have reached the age where they are rather mischievous and independent enough to create total chaos. If they are not trying to burn down the property it seems like they’re trying to bankrupt us thanks to heating, cooling, and air quality control issues. Not only are the children way too comfortable using our temperature control, changing the indoor air temperature control settings or altering the air quality programming… however lately they have been letting all of our high-quality indoor air float away, as well. I only recently realized that my children have a problem with sleeping with their window open. Meanwhile, I’m pumping Ice Cold air Conditioning throughout the entire house; Everyday when the indoor air temperature is mysteriously hot and the quality is strangely muggy I know where I should start investigating. My kids genuinely left their home office windows open so all of my fancy indoor air can float away into the atmosphere. Don’t worry, they will cheerfully go change the temperature control settings to compensate for the air quality disaster that they have created.
