I have to admit, since I started laboring at my new task I have wondered how one of my co-workers had such an expensive lifestyle.
He is regularly talking about going on these wild inhigh-priced trips with all of his buddies. He has an severely extravagant automobile & shows it off properly. And he has regularly trying to pay for everybody to go out on the city for big events. It’s been a mystery to me, because I know that my pal and I don’t get paid all that well. I have been pretty curious how he was managing to have all of these resources making the same salary I was. Well I found out accidentally a few weeks ago. I went into the office late at night because I had forgotten some important paperwork on my desk. When I open the door, I flipped on the lights & was shocked to find my co-workers sleeping on the floor on a pile of sleeping bags. He had the a/c cranked up to level 11 in the office & had brought in a nice box fan to add some extra ventilation to his face. He sat up hastily, & started muttering something about needing to crash there for the night. The next week, I found out that in fact, he stayed in the office most days. He used our dealer a/c throughout the Summer to stay cool. Rather than paying for his own a/c at house or ponying up the money for high energy costs, he was saving a buck using our office AC. I think his lifestyle wasn’t expensive enough to afford Heating & A/C.
